Blue Alliance co-manages large Marine Protected Areas across Indonesia, the Philippines, and Zanzibar, working to regenerate 3.4 million hectares of some of the most biodiverse, climate-resilient coral reefs on Earth, in partnership with the coastal communities who depend on them. Our model is built for permanence. Each MPA develops its own sustainable revenue streams, from fisheries and aquaculture to ecotourism and blue carbon, so that protection can continue long term. Donor support becomes the spark, not the fuel.
By 2030, we aim to support over 500,000 people and protect 5% of the world’s reefs.
The model is proven. The mandate is in place.
