At the end of 2025 Blue Alliance was managing 2.1 million hectares of coral reef ecosystems across the Coral Triangle and East Africa in places science identifies as the reefs most likely to survive climate change and repopulate the surrounding reefs.
Here is a snapshot of what our teams delivered in 2025:
- 400 jobs created in MPAs and reef-positive businesses
- 32,722 coastal community members supported, prioritising fishers living below the poverty line, with targeted support for women
- 50,020 hours of sea patrols conducted
- 70+ threatened species under active protection, including sharks, turtles, and corals
- 6 reef-positive businesses generating over US$1.2 million in revenue
- Early signs of fish biomass recovery in Indonesia, with rising catch productivity for artisanal fishers in Indonesia and the Philippines
- Mangrove conservation working towards avoiding up to 300,000 tCO2e in emissions annually
We are proud of our achievements in 2025 and are encouraged to keep deepening our impact. In the words of Executive Director & Co-founder, Nicolas Pascal: “By 2030, we aim to manage 9 million hectares, regenerating 5% of the world’s coral reefs. We will not reach that goal unless our impact remains verifiable, replicable, and honest. Thank you for your trust in this work. We do not take it lightly.”
